What is Cardberry?

Cardberry is a universal plastic card that replaces all your loyalty, membership, reward and access cards. When you buy Cardberry, you get a set. The set includes the card itself, a card reader, a manual, and an iOS/Android app. You are welcome to add all your barcoded and magnetic stripe cards into the app.

WHAT TYPES OF CARDS ARE SUPPORTED BY CARDBERRY?

Any barcoded cards and/or cards containing a magnetic stripe can be uploaded into the application. These include discount cards, gift cards, gym cards and building pass cards, to name a few.

IN WHAT COUNTRIES DOES CARDBERRY WORK?

Cardberry works worldwide.

Is a smartphone required to use Cardberry?

Yes, it is. You need a smartphone with the Cardberry app to manage your saved cards and select what card the Cardberry is currently working with.

Order and Shipping

How is Cardberry delivered?

Delivery is done by a courier service. Once the shipment is handed over to a courier, you will get a notice with a tracking number.

How to get a refund?

To get a refund, please write to us at moneyback@cardberry.com and provide the following details about your oder: type of payment, order reference number, your designated email. 

Functionality

HOW DOES CARDBERRY INDICATE THAT IT'S READY TO WORK?

There is an indicator on the face of the card that lights up when the card is ready for use.

HOW IS MY DISCOUNT INFORMATION TRANSFERRED TO CARDBERRY?

The Cardberry app sends the information to the card via Bluetooth (2.0 or Low Energy). No Internet connection is required.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BRING A PARTICULAR CARD'S DATA INTO CARDBERRY?

The data transmission takes a few seconds. For your convenience we advise performing this action once at a store checkout.

HOW CAN I MAKE SURE THE CARD INFO HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO CARDBERRY?

The Cardberry app should display a message telling that data transmission was successful.

HOW MANY CARDS CAN CARDBERRY USE AT ONCE?

You can only transfer one card at a time into Cardberry.

Can Cardberry work with multiple mobile devices?

Yes, it can, but not simultaneously. Discount cards from different devices can be transferred to Cardberry one at a time.

CAN A SMARTPHONE WORK WITH TWO CARDBERRY DEVICES AT THE SAME TIME?

No, it can't. It can only work with one Cardberry card at a time.

Mobile App

WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THE CARDBERRY APPLICATION?

The Cardberry application is available both in Google Play Store and App Store.

Can I make my cards invisible to my friends?

Yes, you can do this and more by accessing the card's settings.

Warranty

DOES CARDBERRY HAVE A WARRANTY?

Yes, it does. There is a one year warranty from the delivery date which covers repairs or replacement of the device if unrepairable.

HOW LONG DOES THE CARDBERRY BATTERY LAST?

Cardberry can work on a single charge for up to 4 months.

CAN I CARRY CARDBERRY TOGETHER WITH KEYS, MY SMARTPHONE OR OTHER MAGNETIC CARDS?

Yes, you can.

Are falls bad for Cardberry?

Yes, they are. The card contains a fragile microchip that can be damaged by an impact.

Is Cardberry waterproof?

No, it is not. Try to avoid exposing the card to water.

Common troubles

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY CARDBERRY DOES NOT TURN ON?

Please insert the card into a charger. If the LED turns on, then your card is just out of charge. In this case just leave it to charge for a couple of hours. If no indicator turns on, please contact our customer support: hello@Cardberry.com

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY CARDBERRY DOES NOT TURN ON?

The card may be unpaired from the app. To pair the card with the app, press and hold the surface button, then try to transfer the data.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF IT TAKES TOO LONG FOR THE DATA TO BE TRANSFERRED, OR THE DATA IS NOT TRANSFERRING AT ALL?

Please try resetting both the app and the card, then try to transfer the data again.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE SCREEN OF THE CARD READER GOES RED WHILE READING A CARD?

Turn the reader off by unplugging the USB cable. Then turn the reader on again and swipe the card. If this doesn't help, try swiping it slower or faster than before. Make sure the magnetic stripe of the card is not damaged.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF A BARCODE TURNED UNREADABLE AT THE CHECK OUT?

Make sure the store is not using a photo barcode scanner (they typically have a wide red stripe). If this is the case, display the barcode on the screen of your smartphone in the application instead of the card.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE READER'S DISPLAY DOES NOT WORK?

Make sure the USB cable is not damaged. If it is, please contact our customer service at hello@Cardberry.com.

Security

WILL CARDBERRY WORK WITH MY CREDIT CARD?

For the time being, we advise against adding any bank cards to the Cardberry application. The encryption algorithms used by the app do not provide sufficient security to transmit sensitive bank details. However, we plan on implementing this feature in the future.

IS MY DATA STORED ON CARDBERRY?

No, it is not. All your data is uploaded to the card wirelessly from the Cardberry app at the time of its use. When you turn the card off, all the data stored on it is erased.
